The Past is the Past

Yesterday I had an awful day. Right from the get go. I was running late in the morning and thought I had everything together. I get to work and realize not only did I leave my work out clothes at home I also left my lunch...UGH...So in the end I ended up eating like crap. Could I have made better choices, yes, but I didn't and trust me I paid for it. The food made me so ill. It was not worth it! I did make it to the gym and had a pretty good work out. My legs were already sore from playing catcher the previous night and it was leg day so today I am definitely feeling the tightness. Its funny how although its uncomfortable I LOVE having that feeling. Makes me realize that I really am working my muscles. So even though my food was way off target I am right back on today. After yesterdays after effects it will make me really think about what I order next time!

On a side note me and my gym buddy were having this discussion yesterday how some people are skinny and put NO EFFORT into it. My side of this was they may be skinny but that doesn't mean they are in shape. Not only do I look forward to being "skinny" but mostly I look forward to feeling better!

Double Header

Yesterday turned out to be a good day! Worked all day then went to the gym and found myself way more motivated then what I originally thought. I worked out shoulders and chest and felt great after. I do feel that drive to push myself harder when I am there with someone. My old gym buddy and I used to go hard all the time and I never realized how much was missing from my workouts until I went back to the gym with someone. I think its the fact that I don't want to look like a slacker or like I am not putting all of me effort into my workout. After the gym I came home and made a pretty good dinner (pictured above). It was the first time trying the recipe I made myself. I used 1 zucchini, 2 small squash, 1 medium onion, 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, mushrooms, and chicken. I mixed that all with Mrs Dash Spicy Teriyaki marinade. It was really tasty. There are a couple things that I would do differently next time. 1. I would use some more chicken, there just wasn't enough in there to really offset all of the veggies. 2. I wouldn't cook it quite as long. I like my veggies semi crunchy and I cooked them just a couple minutes too long.  After dinner I then went to play softball. It was a good game and though I could feel my body wearing down I didn't feel exhausted like I expected. So for today its back to the gym again and I do believe its leg day!

I'm Back!

So I have decided to start blogging again. Most importantly it keeps me motivated and allows me to look back on things and realize what I have done and what I haven't. I am really going to try to keep up with it.

I am currently using a meal plan and work out that I got from www.fitnesspoynters.com I purchased this meal plan almost 6 months ago. I know it works I was strict on it for a couple weeks and saw great results, but life happened and I got off track. I felt like every time I tried to get on track something else happen. I have now been working for about a month and getting into the swing of having a job, school, and caring for my sweet Chloe so its time to focus and make myself a priority. I have a new gym buddy which is very exciting. We start our work outs together on Monday. We went to the gym this past Thursday and did some cardio since the guy signing her up took forever.

So my plan for the blog is just sharing my story and my progress. I also plan on sharing any delicious recipes I come across. I do plan on trying a few new ones this week. Hopefully this will be a great way to keep myself and other people motivated. Enjoy your Saturday everyone!! The weather is NICE get out and enjoy it :)

Lack of Motivation

Yet again it has been a while since I posted! I haven't had the motivation to really do anything. I feel very drained and kind of stressed out, but I feel that things are turning around. I am starting to sleep better and I am going back to the gym tonight. I actually want to get little things done again. Its nice to be returning to my old self again. Jason comes home very soon so I really need to get my motivation and energy back! I will try to start writing more often again :)

What a Wonderful Day

So its been a while since I wrote an entry, so I thoought I would type one up. Just been going to the gym as usual. I am down another 2lbs...that makes 22lbs total! I realize that consistancy does pay off in the long run. Yesterday was so nice out we decided to do our intervals outside on the track. It is another gorgeous day out so maybe we will do the same tonight. Tonight we are doing the dreaded leg workout and then about 60 mins of some kind of cardio.

Feeling Good...Even If I Have To Fake It!

So today I did NOT want to go to the gym. My arms and abs were sore, I wanted to just go home and do nothing! Instead of going home, I went to the gym. I get there and there are no machines open....no lockers open....that was my easy excuse to leave....instead I just took all my stuff into the aerobics room and started working on my legs! Did it hurt?? YES! I suffered through it and made myself work. It was hard but I know that I have to do it! Then after my leg work out...or should I say lower body because it hurts everything from my belly button down, I went back to the cardio machines, I did 45 minutes are cardio and then I was done for the evening. I came home and wanted fast food so bad, but I didn' give in and I ate yummy veggie corn dogs instead and they were delicious and then I had a nerds rope, I know candy is not good for you, but it tasted wonderful and it was only 90 calories! So I am ok with the nerds rope :)

Don't Make Me Laugh

Last night I got a new upper body workout! Its really great and I can definitely feel my muscles working. I woke up a little sore but not as much as I thought I would be. I can move, but I can feel what muscles I worked. I did not realize that my abs were sore until someone at work made me laugh today. I am hoping to have noticeable differences with this new routine. I just have to keep on keepin on! I can tell that I am in a lot better shape then before. Yesterday when we were running/walking the track we decided to sprint the last straight and I wasn't completely out of breath! YAY ME! I got a cramp in my leg and it made me feel old but that's besides the point lol. Back to the gym tonight....legs and lots of cardio FUN!
