To Box or Not To Box

I had my second private boxing lesson today. No I do not do this to fight or even think about getting in the ring with someone. I do this for an upper body/cardio workout. Kim and I did this in San Diego and it was a lot of fun and I wanted to do it again. I love it. I have a good time and I get a killer workout. The most important thing is the trainer I have is not someone that pushes my to buy anything, he is not a salesman he did not approach me I approached him, and he genuinely cares  and is extremely educated by personal experience which is hard to come by. Towards the end of today's session he said that I should consider getting serious about boxing, and I kind of just looked at him. He said that I have great coordination and speed and that with training I could do really well. At the lessons now I don't really learn the fundamentals to boxing I learn the basic punches -- jab, hook, uppercut...and that's about it since I am doing this mainly for just a workout not the actual boxing. So now I sit and consider....he gave me a few other compliments about how well I am doing which was nice to hear. He said that if I focused on boxing it would be fun and all of my fitness goals would follow. I am considering it...opinions?
